Oh yes, we could tell you a thing or two about handling visitors...
Sound familiar?
When you open your doors to visitors, you become a visitor attraction, just as much as any large mosque, synagogue, temple or cathedral. That means that you will be encouraging your volunteers to face the public. Little wonder that potential volunteers melt away at the prospect.
Welcome Host is a tourism-based qualification designed to offer informed confidence to volunteers, giving them the skills and information about visitor care.
Welcome Host covers:
- The importance of excellent customer service
- The Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality industry
- Understanding your customers
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Successful communication
- Providing information and advice
- Meeting specific needs
- Dealing with difficult situations
- Boosting business
Training is free, lasts one full day (09:30-16:30) and also takes in a session on cultural differences between the main UK faiths.
If you can offer us a training space in which we can train 10-15 people, refreshments and possibly lunch for trainees and trainers, we will bring the training to you. However, our budget is not bottomless and early booking is advised.
