The church was built at the centre of this Victorian Village by Sir Titus Salt in Italianate style.
The circular entrance porch contains a marble bust of Sir Titus with representations of his mill; a llama and alpaca goat upon which his fortune was founded and the horn of plenty symbolise the prosperity which his industry brought to his workers.
The arched ceiling of the church is decorated with ornate and gilded plaster work and scagliola columns flank the windows.
The oak pews and pulpit are all embellished with carvings and there is a three manual organ.
The Salt Mausoleum, dominated by a marble sculpture of an angel is accessed from the interior of the church. Saltaire Village is now designated as a World Heritage Site.
