Oakworth Methodism dates back to 1779 but the present multi-purpose church opened in 1960. It was refurbished 12 years ago and we are celebrating our Golden Jubilee next year.
Our "Treasure" is not just our warm, flexible suite of premises and beautiful garden but the way it is used. We are home to 15 community groups: uniformed organisations, playgroup, morris men, luncheon club, theatre group, third age groups, etc, but the jewel in our crown is the almost professional annual village pantomime when church is transformed into theatre.
