The original; Bethel Baptist Church was built in 1824, rebuilt in 1883, and rebuilt again into the current building in 1985 with further extensions in 1999.
These days the Church is very much a part of the local community, working in partnership with several community groups including: Keep Fit, Tuesday Afternoon Club for Seniors, Line Dancing, Toddler group on Wednesday mornings, Brownies and Guides, the local Parish Council and other community service providers.
We hope to create space where people are able to encounter each other through acting justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God.
Our services are warm and friendly, and we are looking forward to welcoming local people and visitors of all faiths as our community contribution to the Treasures Revealed Festival.
