Choppards Mission is a small hillside church with superb views across the valley. Originally built in 1839 as a day school, it is now part of the Upper Holme Valley team ministry of the Church of England. The small former classroom is now used as a chapel. It has been redecorated in Puginesque style by talented members of the congregation, and here Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. The large schoolroom is now used by a youth theatre group for rehearsals, also by various organisations within the church for meetings, quiet days and fund raising events.
