HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, HEPWORTH

Butt Lane, Hepworth, HD9 1TF

Contact: Sheena Blunden

On 16th July 1863 the Bishop of Ripon consecrated Hepworth Church. The dedication was chosen as Holy Trinity possibly because of the three villages it would serve.  A major reordering was undertaken at the turn of the millennium in order to incorporate a small meeting room. This peaceful church is open nearly every day of the year and includes among its features a Conacher organ and a pre- Raphaelite window by Henry Holiday. It is visited on a regular basis by walkers, passers-by and parishioners who make the most of its tranquil setting to enjoy a moment's peace and quiet.
