ST. DAVID'S CHURCH

Woodhead Road, Holmbridge, Holmfirth, HD9 2NQ
St David's church was consecrated on 28th March 1840 and became a separate Parish Church in 1857. There is a wall display in the church telling the history and depicting some of the items of interest. On display will be the famous Flood Bible that survived the great flood of 1852 when Bilberry Reservoir burst its banks, and there is a flood tapestry in the West End room at the back of church. Also, be sure to have a look at the Millennium window which was consecrated in 2002 (paid for by subscriptions through the village Millennium Committee).
