Quakers have worshipped in Wooldale Meeting House since the late 18th century. The building dates mainly from that time, with earlier (17th century) sections and some 20th century additions. There is a large Meeting Room on the ground floor and an upstairs room for use by smaller groups. We currently have fortnightly midweek worship and discussion meetings (except during the summer months) and have our own writing and cycling groups. Several local organisations meet here, notably a Zen Buddhist group, and we also support Quaker, local and other charities. We are open to visitors during Heritage Open Days in September.
