Victorian Building.  Attractive stained glass window of St Paul at the heart of the village. - Sensitively modernised  St Paul's was consecrated in 1848 and like many Victorian village churches is of a simple design. The architect was William Wallen who had designed many buildings in the Huddersfield area. The church is built of local stone and has a bell cote containing two bells. The chancel was added in 1868 and extended into the nave in 1890. There are several stained glass windows, noticeably the east window which depicts scenes from the life of St Paul. St Paul's stands in the centre of the village and has been altered over the years to suit the worship pattern of the time. Moving forward remains our aim, whilst still retaining our sense of history.
