A late Victorian Church (1894-1895) designed by famous architects GF Bodley (exhibition of his work at the V&A in 2007) and Garner:  The Church contains a Late Saxon / early Norman square Font, and a mid-1950s Reredos above the High Altar - with a depiction of Christ in majesty with St Aidam and St Oswald.  Other artworks, icons and images are also on display.  On one side are three interlaced arches and on another are four tall arched panels (two with heads) filled with foliage scrolls.
