The Salvation Army has existed on its present site in Horbury for 35 years, although it has been in existence in the town since 1929. The building used now was a school hut previously, and now sits at one end of the town car park behind the Co-operative.

Although a small worshipping community, Horbury Salvation Army serves the community by providing a coffee morning, lunch and fellowship group on Thursdays, and on Fridays provides a full three course dinner for senior citizens.

We share together in worship on Sunday mornings.

The Salvation Army works in partnership with Horbury Churches Together, providing the base for the Youth Project as well as HCT business meetings.

Horbury Art Society also meets weekly in this building.
